About SAT
The SAT is a standardized test used by colleges and universities to aid in admissions decisions. College Board commissions the Educational Testing Service (ETS) to administer the exam, which includes Math, Writing, and Critical Reading portions. The SAT is just one factor in admissions decisions: your SAT scores form part of a larger package that includes GPA and extracurricular activities.
The content on the SAT is somewhat similar to that on the ACT. The major difference is in how the concepts are tested and the steps students will have to take to solve problems correctly. Students will have to reason their way through the SAT by tackling problems in a linear and sequential fashion; a student’s ability to process information quickly will be key.
